Cornwall Public Library is hosting an antique evaluation clinic at the library on Saturday, September 13 between10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. with Janet Carlile, independent and accredited antique evaluator and appraiser. Janet has over 30 years of international experience gained in major auction houses both in Europe and North America.
The clinic has been very popular and very well attended over the years and this year promises to be the same. There has been some amazing and surprising finds at these clinics presented much like a show with an audience made up of people who have brought in their items to be evaluated and curious spectators. “Participants like to stay around a while and watch other people items being evaluated, you get an appreciation for the value of different objects you may still have at home” says Pierre Dufour, programming director at the library.
Do you have a treasure lurking in your basement or attic? Now is the time to find out if it has any value. There is a fee per item, paid at registration and limited at 4 per person. There are a limited number of items being accepted for the clinic so hurry and register to secure your spot now.
