Cornwall Ontario — The Cornwall Colts defeated the Brockville Braves 5-2 at the Ed Lumley Arena tonight.

League MVP Michael Pontarelli scored a power play goal for the Cornwall Colts in the second period to tie the game 1-1. Lawson MacDonald scored a pair of goals to give the Colts a 3-1 lead going into the third period.

Joey House scored a power play marker to cut the lead to 3-2, however Kevin Hope scored soon after to restore the Colts two goal lead. Jake Martin finished the scoring for the Colts when he scored an empty net goal with just over a minute left in the game.

The Cornwall Colts lead the playoff series 1-0 versus the Brockville Braves in Round One.
