Cornwall Ontario — Residents should keep an eye on their mailbox for the new 2013-2014 Waste and Recycling Collection Calendar.

The guide, which is being distributed to all homes throughout the City this week, contains important information about curbside garbage recycling pick-up, leaf and yard waste collections, household hazardous waste collection dates and much more.

The full-colour document also contains a collection map for the entire city as well as recycling and waste reduction tips and other helpful information.

“The calendar provides useful information for residents to help them fully participate in our waste and recycling programs,” said Nicole Robertson, Solid Waste Supervisor.

For the second consecutive year, the guide has been produced as a miniature calendar, making it an ideal size to post on the fridge or store in an easy-to-access location.

“We hope residents will keep this calendar in a convenient spot and use it as a reference throughout the year,” Mrs. Robertson said.

For those who may not have received a calendar in the mail, copies of the calendar are available at various City buildings including City Hall, the Civic Complex and the Municipal Works office.

For questions about the calendar or the City’s waste and recycling programs, please call (613) 937-1777.
