Nepean Ontario — The Cornwall Colts won the opening game of the finals against Nepean 3-2 Sunday night. Alexandre Gendron scored a pair of goals, and Andrew Ming also scored for the Colts. Kenneth Neil scored half way through the third period to get Nepean with in one, but the Colts held on for the victory. Goaltending was a huge difference maker for the Colts who were badly out shot in this game 45 to 25. Jordan Piccolino played the role of hero, the netminder was instrumental in Cornwall’s will. He stopped 43 saves including 19 in the opening period.
