Please be advised that The United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Roads Department are asking residents to exercise caution when driving through SDG over the next several days.

The area is experiencing very high water levels due to the rain and snow melt. There are locations where water is adjacent to the driving lanes or overtopping the road. Last night there were 4 areas where part of or all of the road had to be closed – County Road 2 at County Road 26 (South Glengarry), County Road 12 in Crysler, County Road 30 south of Greenfield and County Road 5 west of Winchester Springs.

County Road 5 from Toye Hill Road to Kirkwood Road will remain closed for the time being (the others will be re-opened by morning).

County staff is monitoring the road conditions in the flood prone areas. For flooding conditions please visit the South Nation Conservation and Raisin Region Conservation Authority websites. County road closures will be posted on the Conservation Authority and County websites.
