Job Fair coming at Civic Complex

The Social Development Council of Cornwall (SDC) and Area’s Employability Network in cooperation with
Akwesasne Area Management Board (AAMB), MCA and SRMT Economic Development Agencies are
excited to announce a collaborative effort to organize a Job Fair at the Cornwall Civic Complex at 100
Water Street East, Cornwall, Ont. K6H 6G4 to be held on March 26th 2015.

In previous years, Akwesasne has held the International Job Fair in various community locations.
Thousands of participants have enjoyed the opportunity of networking with US and Canadian employers
in one location. With new plans on the way, joining forces with the Cornwall and Area would be very
beneficial to all Job Seekers.

This job fair will mark a renewed effort in collaboration between Akwesasne and the City of Cornwall.
This initiative will be the first of such effort where the AAMB and the SDC will work together on issues of
mutual concern.

“We are always happy to work in partnership with the Akwesasne Area Management Board and Economic Development Agencies towards furthering employment in our region.” said Mark Boileau, the City of Cornwall Economic Development Manager.

“The Akwesasne Area Management Board is happy to collaborate with the City of Cornwall and
specifically the Social Development Council to bring forward the annual Job Fair. ” said AAMB representative Russell Roundpoint.  “By working together we are able to combine resources and this will result in bringing more job seekers into direct contact with employers.”
