The Bowling League bowled Wednesday evenings from October until March at Quilles Nativité Bowl raising $1,083.50 for United Way/Centraide. The league was an enjoyable evening and avenue to raise funds for United Way/Centraide weekly. “I decided to bowl because I wanted to improve. I wanted to be more social since I am relatively new to Cornwall and it’s all for a great cause – which is helping the community.” said Julie Haluschak, league member. “I bowled in a league when I was younger and love it. It’s social, fun and a great night out,” stated Nathan Carr, league member. “It really helps break up the week. I’d recommend getting involved to anyone!”

Angie Baker, United Way Board member is also pleased to have been a member of the league this year. “My husband and I were thrilled to join the bowling league. This is a sport we enjoy and a nice way to spend an evening together. Knowing our participation helps the United Way was one of the biggest reasons we said YES – we look forward to returning in the fall.” For more information or to register for the league contact Janet Wheeler by phone, 613-933-0590 or email, nativitybowling@hotmail.com.
