The Cornwall and District Labour Council will be hosting the annual Labour Day Picnic in Lamoureux Park, Cornwall on Monday 7 September from 10:00 am – 3 pm. The theme for this year’s Labour Day is “Time for Change”.
The picnic will include a BBQ, games and activities for children, music, Clown entertainment, Face Painting, fundraising draw, etc. All activities are Free of Charge. Guest Speaker, Diane Dewing, Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, will deliver her message to the crowd at 1pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The United Food and Commercial Workers are sponsoring the Fundraising Draw for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). In the past 8 years Labour Day Fundraising in Cornwall has raised $29,000 for Leukemia and Lymphoma.
