Cornwall Colts win 2015

Cornwall Ontario – The Cornwall Colts downed the Gloucester Rangers 3-2 in a Sunday matinee at the Ed Lumley Arena.

Brennan Markell kick started the offence 20 seconds into the game with his 6th goal of the season.

Nick Lalonde scored his team leading 12th goal of the season while Tristan Conrad picked up his 3rd of the campaign.

The Colts outshot the Rangers 53-28 with James Edwardson earning his 6th victory of the season in goal.

The Colts record improves to 15-9-2 (32 points).

The Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Colts Player of the Game was Tanner Spink.

The Wendy’s Restaurant 3 Stars were 1st Star, Brennan Markell (Cornwall) 2nd Star, Nick Lalonde (Cornwall) and 3rd Star Doug Johnston (Gloucester).

The Colts next game is Thursday vs the Cumberland Grads at the Ed Lumley Arena.  Game time is 7:30pm as the Colts celebrate National Child Day.  All children 12 and under are welcome to the game at no charge while all other tickets are $7 (taxes included).

The Eastern Canadian Jr. A All Star Challenge Tournament takes to the Benson Centre Ice (Pad 1) Monday evening until Wednesday night.  Nine teams representing Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes will take part in this showcase tournament.  Day passes are available: $20 for adults, $10 students/seniors and $5 for children 12 and under.
