City of Cornwall hires new manager of Social and Housing Services

Cornwall Ontario City Hall CanadaThe City of Cornwall is pleased to announce the hiring of Stacey Ferguson as the new Manager of Social and Housing Services.

“We are excited by this great addition to our leadership team,” said Myles Cassidy, General Manager, Shared Services. “Mrs. Ferguson brings more than 25 years of experience in the social services field with her to this position.”

A native of Bowmanville, Mrs. Ferguson currently serves as Supervisor and was the SAMS (Social Assistance Management System) Implementation Lead with the Region of Durham. She has also worked in similar capacities with the City of Toronto.

Mrs. Ferguson also has experience in case management, property administration, employment consulting and other matters pertaining to the social services sector. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a degree in Psychology, Mrs. Ferguson has also completed a Masters of Municipal Management Diploma from University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa.

“I am really looking forward to beginning this exciting new chapter in my career and becoming a part of the Cornwall community,” said Mrs. Ferguson.

Mrs. Ferguson will begin her tenure with the City of Cornwall on February 1st.
