The holidays are delivering something special at Marrow and Spice: We are cooking Christmas dinner on Saturday, so if you don’t want to cook for yourself, phone and reserve meals to pick up. We will be offering traditional turkey and fixings, roast beef dinner or ham. Please be sure to order ahead by calling the store at 933-3330.

Another gift for you: next week we will be featuring Thai food! Yada has the week off from school, and she is super keen to serve some traditional food from home! Roger has asked her to provide an entree each day, so we will be able to offer you something new alongside our usual tasty and healthy fare.

Roger will also be making traditional French-Canadian creton next week. This is a type of delicious pate that is equally at home on the breakfast table, as an appetizer or a party hors d’oeuvre. We have specialty breads and crackers that will make serving this treat a snap. Is there a favourite meal that you love but have a hard time finding? Let us know and we will make it for you!

If you didn’t get a chance to come in and avail yourself of a roast for Christmas, fear not, as we still have lots of great roasts available for to enjoy with your family on any evening you choose. At Marrow and Spice we make special dry rubs to coat your roast for the most delicious result. We even have Island Style rub for that Caribbean taste, or store-made Jerk sauce if you want to marinade your creation before cooking it. If you call ahead, we will custom cook a roast for you (or the entire meal if you prefer) that you can pick up on your way home!

We will be making fresh Jamaican Patties every day next week, both Beef and Chicken, and we are also taking orders now for snack trays for your celebrations. Along with our other holiday season catering, we are creating snack trays for you to pick up and take home, either meat, vegetarian, or mixed. Please be sure to order well ahead to make sure you are not disappointed

The staff of Marrow and Spice is always pleased to make your acquaintance, discuss nutritional or dietary needs and find foods for you that you are having a hard time locating. At the request of one of our customers, our catered meals have expanded now to include vegetarian entrees.

Happy Holidays to all from the staff at Marrow and Spice, and our sincere thanks for making this local food venue such a great success! We look forward to serving you over the holidays and into the New Year.
