Toy Drive distributes more than 3000 toys

Cornwall Ontario – The annual Optimist Toy Drive, which took place last Tuesday, December 20th at the Cornwall Armories was once again a huge success, providing  over 3000 toys for roughly 1500 children in need.

The toys were amassed with the help of the great citizens of Cornwall and Sparky’s Toy Drive with the Cornwall Professional Fire Fighters.

The toy distribution took place in conjunction with the food basket distribution.

Anita Tremblay, Optimist Member and Chairperson of the Toy Drive, would like to send “a huge thank you to all the volunteers who donated their precious time to give back to the community during this time of year.  You make a difference in our community and the drive would not be the success it is without you.  You are a great bunch of people.”
