Times are changing and as a charitable organization, we at United Way Centraide SD&G have embraced a new direction of change – a direction of consistent evolving and growth.

United Way Centraide SD&G Shares Holiday Spirit
Bill Makinson (Campaign Chair), Lori Greer & Stephanie Lalonde from United Way, Dan Allaire from Boom 101.9

We are proud of the work we do. Changing Lives is our mission – to create a happy and healthy community for everyone. What would our community look like without United Way? Many essential programs assisting those who need it most would not exist or be drastically reduced without United Way support. Programs which feed the elderly, support our youth to make the right choices or give a child the mentor they so desperately need could be lost. We invest your dollars to the best of our ability to ensure we are changing lives and creating significant lasting impact throughout Cornwall and SDG.

We are proud to be a locally operated office – from our fundraising activities to our investment into our local community. All funds raised in SDG stay in SDG to help your neighbours in need. As we are a small office of only 3 staff, we rely heavily on our volunteers in our fundraising efforts and community investment. All decisions to allocate the funds we receive are made by a committee of volunteers and approved by our volunteer Board of Directors. We deal directly with our partner agencies and invest into programs and services that benefit local children, youth, individuals, families and the elderly.

The need is always great. We are grateful that many individuals, families and businesses have embraced our recent change in direction and we encourage everyone to invest in United Way SD&G today or yearly to help Change Lives in our local community. With donating, you are a United Way HERO!
