Cornwall, Ontario – It is that time of the year to check out an important art event in Cornwall. Focus Art is partnering with The Cornwall Square for their Annual Juried Art Show on Saturda,y May 14, between 10 and 4pm. Invited guest juror, Sally Chupik, will critique the work of over 30 artists working in oils, acrylics, watercolour, sculpture, mixed media and photography.

The selected artwork is to be included in the Exhibition. Scotia Bank wishes to contribute directly to the benefit of the arts and the welfare of the community. The money donated will be used to fund this year’s award prizes and a private reception.

For 13 years, Focus Art has been hosting this event and in the process discovered great artists and encouraged new comers on the art scene. Focus Art is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting artists and increasing the visibility of the visual arts in our community. Many of the art pieces are for sale but will not be sold on site. Information about each artist is available for patrons to enquire about purchasing a piece directly.

There will be a People’s Choice awarded to the favorite art piece selected by the public. Here is 2017 winning piece by Kathleen Morin.
