The United Way Centraide of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Board of Directors announces today, that Director of Operations Meagan Bingley, has tendered her resignation. Bingley will be leaving the agency on February 21, 2019 to further her career back in the insurance industry.

Bingley states “This was an extremely difficult decision to make. I received an unexpected offer to go back into the insurance industry; it is an opportunity that I need to explore.” Bingley goes on to explain, “I am truly honoured that I had the opportunity to serve our community. I have always known that there is a high need for support services in our area, but working for the United Way has been an eye-opening experience.” Meagan mentioned that she will miss being involved in the day-to-day operations but will continue to support the United Way by attending their events. “I will still be heavily involved in the community, and I will support the United Way in any way I can, especially during the transition period.”

Andrew Donihee, Board Chair says, “I would like to thank Meagan for her service to the Board and to the community. Meagan has served our community with integrity, compassion, and a driven desire to make a positive impact. She has made improvements to our agency and fostered positive relationships across SD&G. The Board thanks her for her service and wishes her well in her new role.”

During this time of transition the United Way/Centraide of SD&G will continue normal daily operations with a strong office staff in place and support from the Board of Directors. The United Way/Centraide of SD&G will release the job posting next week, and will commence the recruitment process to fill Bingley’s role.
