Seaway Food Festival’s Restaurant Week Participants Revealed
Cornwall Ontario – This marks the 5th edition of the Seaway Food Festival’s Restaurant Week and, once again, it will spotlight our dynamic restaurant scene as well as offer a social platform that engages consumers. 8 restaurants will be returning this October: Table 21, Truffles Burger Bar, Moustache Joe’s, Eight Zero Zero, Peppermills Bakery & Grill, ESCA Gourmet Pizza + Bar, Bar Q, & Love Love Food Café, Bistro & Bakery. This fall we will also be welcoming a new entry in the very popular celebration: Captain George’s Fish & Chips.
For the first time, a new price point is being introduced for a total of 3 options for the menus: $24, $28, or $34. Also, by popular demand, Restaurant Week will be extended by a couple of days, giving patrons more opportunities to enjoy their local establishments. This fall, the week will begin on Thursday October 13th and end on Saturday October 22nd: “Extending the festivities and introducing a new price point was the natural progression. The customers were literally hungry for more! By adding another weekend and the $34 menu option, we firmly believe this will only be a positive and add more value to the overall experience. But patrons need to be aware, that each restaurant will have their own Restaurant Week schedule, so we highly recommend that people visit www.seawayfoodfestival.ca in the days leading up to promotion to check out the menus and the hours of operation,” explained Sebastien Manigat, Director of the Seaway Food Festival.
About to enter its fifth edition, Restaurant Week looks to capitalize on the momentum created by the success of its previous weeks, the award-winning Summer Beer Fest, and the first ever Cornwall’s La Poutine Week. Last spring, over 4,000 customers participated in the promotion in only 5 days. It is evident that the week was a success for customers and the restaurants: “I never saw anything like that in this city. It was amazing to see so many people coming together around local food. That enthusiasm is contagious. From our kitchen staff to our servers, we are looking forward to another great week,” added Dominique Gilgen, owner of Table 21 and Truffles Burger Bar.
The success of the Restaurant Week also has its downside: seats! If you want to avoid disappointment, don’t forget to make your reservations! Last spring the majority of the restaurants were booked solid throughout the week.
