Cornwall, Ont – Sunday May 26, 2013 – Martin Bélanger – Mother Nature is obviously not a race fans in 2013, wet grounds mixed with cool temperatures forced promoter Ron Morin to cancel is opening night a second week in a row.
The Canadian Nationals Series will be back with a 100-lap feature race involving the the best drivers from Ontario, Quebec and Northeastern United-States. Drivers such as Mario Clair, David Hébert, Steve Bernard, Yan Bussière and many others will try and win the $4,000 purse given to the winner against the best local drivers in the likes of Laurent Ladouceur, Chris Raabe, Joel Doiron, Kyle Dingwall and company. One of the biggest fields of the season is expected.
A huge field of Sportsman will be in Cornwall next Sunday as the DIRTcar Sportsman Series will make a stop in Cornwall for a 50-lap Feature event. The best in the business in the Sportsman ranks will haul to the Speedway for round 1 of this coveted series.
Pro-Stock drivers will have two good reasons to be in Cornwall next week as the DIRTcar Pro-Stock Series and Mohawk Race Parts Series will host their initial event of the season. A strong contingent of invaders will drive in Eastern Ontario for this 50-lap race feature.
Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock divisions will have a night off, but they will return to action on June 9th will double features!
To see this great night of racing, it will only cost $25 for adults, 15$ for seniors, 2$ for children 18 years and under and to access the pits, it will be $35. Pit gates will open at 3:30pm with general admission opening at 4:30pm. The first heat race is scheduled to start at 7:00pm sharp. We suggest that you arrive early as a great crowd is expected.
