Cornwall Ontario — Rod McLeod is one of the top 100 finalist for the Kraft Hockey Goes On Contest. The top five winners will win $100,000 for their selected Minor Hockey Association. A total of 20 Second Prize winning nominees will also win $20,000 for their respective Minor Hockey Associations. The Seeker is encouraging everyone in our community to vote for Rod McLeod on March 23rd. The Cornwall Girls Hockey Association could win $100,000! Imagine how much hockey equipment, ice time, tournaments and upgrades your Hockey Canada affiliated Minor Hockey Association can get with that!
McLeod is president of the Girls Hockey Association, a hockey dad who still coaches, and he was also a recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award. He is a worthy candidate, and this would be a huge boost for the local girls hockey program. There is already a Facebook page dedicated to the cause. Voting starts 9:00am Eastern time from March 23rd to the 24th, so grab your friends, rally the community, and start voting to help make a hockey dream in the finalist’s community come true! The winners will be announced on April 3rd 2013.
