Apparently, according to the Cornwall Daily, The Teleperformance Cornwall Office will be closing in the new year.

It looks like their biggest client, Bell Canada, has decided to take the profitable way out and ship the 120  jobs it provided to Cornwallites,  overseas.

If this is the case, shame on Bell.  Talk about the rich getting greedy!  I can understand that a small business who practically doesn’t turn a profit would be inclined to look outwards  for affordable labour.  But a billion dollar operation, who overcharges its customers in the first place, who gets a very respectable year-end profit while not even caring if their customers receive proper service in their language of choice, that is unacceptable.

We’ll keep you posted on updates.
