A stellar 2013 schedule for the Cornwall Motor Speedway!

824320_fhra_nitro_nationalsCornwall, Ont – Sunday, March 10, 2013 – Martin Bélanger – Cornwall Motor Speedway’s promoter Ron Morin worked hard all winter long to build the 2013 schedule, his work paid off as Cornwall will be the only track in Canada to host the World of Outlaws Sprint and Late Models Series along with the 4 DIRTcar Northeast major series. Each night will feature something different as a wide variety of series and categories will visit the speedway during the summer.

The season will start in fashion on Sunday, May 19 as Minute Auto Wash will present the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series event in conjunction with the first series race of the Gaetan’s Chip Stand Canadian Nationals Series that will crown the Mr.Canadian Mod. Along with the 100-lap Modified event, the Mohawk Race Parts Pro-Stock Series presented by Jones Brown insurance will their inaugural event of the season with a 40-lap feature; the Sportsman, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock will also be on the first night of 2013.

On May 26th, the Squire Shop will host Autograph night as fans will be able to meet their favourite drivers during intermission. A complete race program including Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro-Stock, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock will be on hand.

A DIRTcar Series doubleheader will start the month of June as the DIRTcar Sportsman and Pro-Stock Series will stop in Cornwall on June 2nd as Jiffy Auto Services will sponsor the evening that will include a complete night of events for Modifieds, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock.

Paul Auto Body’s will host a busy evening on June 9th as the TUSA Mod-Lite series will make their first ever appearance at Cornwall. These small scale modifieds should provide a great event as the 5 regulars classes will also be in action. It will also be banner night at the speedway.

Kids will be the stars during intermission as Mike Graham Masonry will host the Kid’s tire race on June 16 with a complete race program.

The biggest event in the first portion of the schedule will be next as the World of Outlaws Late Models will be in town with all the series stars on hand along with the Modifieds, Sportsman and Semi-Pro. Mel Valade Backhoe Services will be the major sponsor of this great night of racing on Sunday June 23rd.

After the WOO Late Models, the Super DIRTcar Big-Blocks Series will make their annual visit on June 30th as Evans Bus Lines will host the 100-lap event paying $6,000 to the winner. A complete night of event is on the schedule along will fireworks!

Adam’s Marina will feature Ladies Night with a complete race program along with a 25-lap Semi-Pro feature on July 7th.

The popular Demo Derby event will return on Sunday, July 14th as Speedy Glass will sponsor a complete race night plus the 500$ to win derby.

On July 21st, Alexandria Home Hardware sponsors a complete racing program for the Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks, Semi Pro and Mini Stock.

The biggest night of the season will end July as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car will make their second visit to Cornwall with the biggest stars on DIRT. The fastest sprint cars in the world with turn around the quarter mile bullring on July 28th. The Modifieds and Lightning Sprints will share the spotlight on LKQ Headline Auto Recycling night.

The Modified will have their second event in the Gaetan’s Chip Stand Canadian Nationals with a $4,000 to win 100-lap event to start August plus Sportsman, Pro-Stock and Mini-Stock as Jiffy Auto Services will sponsor the evening.

A 25-lap Mini-Stock feature plus a complete evening of racing for the other division will highlight Cayer Motor Sales night on August 11.

The SpeedSTR will be in Cornwall on Sunday, August 18th as Jim Performance Plus will sponsor a full evening of racing for Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro-Stock and Mini-Stock.

Sprint Car fans will be pleased with the Patriot Sprint and CAOSS Sprint Series in town along with the Vintage Stock Car club. The Sportsman, Pro-Stock and Semi-Pro will share the track on Nortrax night.

The annual Jiffy Auto Services Triple Crown will close the regular season on Sunday, September 1st with the final races for the Canadian Nationals with a 125-lap event also counting towards the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series. The final race of the Mohawk Race Parts Pro-Stock Series and also the Seaway GM Performance Sportsman Series presented by Olson Fab will be at the speedway. The Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock will also be on hand. In 2012, this night had attracted a record attendance of 138 cars in the pits.

On Sunday September 8, LKQ Headline Auto Recycling will host the annual Fireball Enduro, a great afternoon of entertainment for all the family.

A great 2013 schedule for Cornwall as several divisions will be in action and everyone will find something that they like.

Before starting next season, we will celebrate our 2012 champion with the annual banquet on Saturday, April 6.
