Cornwall Ontario – Yesterday was a busy Saturday as always but Julia and I, along with Julia’s little daughter Trinity were happy to attend a wonderful event organized by Rachelle Andre, for her daughter Caydence’s 10th birthday celebration.
About 100 people showed up to help Caydence Andre celebrate her 10th Birthday in a very unique way because this little girl decided to turn her Birthday Party into a Fundraiser for ALS. in memory of Brian Tardiff, a well known Community member who lost his battle to the disease last year. Everyone was invited by Caydence to her party …
and what a great party it was Everyone got to be a Princess for the day with Elsa! The real princess of course being Caydence, in the centre of the photo, wearing the tiara.
When I recently asked Caydence “What kind of things will your guests expect to see and do” she answered, “My guests can expect to dance, eat, enjoy cake, win prizes, buy baked goods to bring home and have fun, fun, fun. They can also expect to help with a great cause.”
and that is exactly what happened!
There was Zumba with Jasmine and Adele, facepainting and dancing with Elsa, a photo booth with Carol Grant Productions, Meet and Greets with the Cornwall Colts and Shannon and Erica from DCN’s The Couch, a special visit from Cornwall’s Mayor Leslie O’Shaughnessy as well as visits from Slapshot and Sparky the Fire Dog, a Silent auction and Bill Halman hosting a Live Auction plus lots of goodies to eat and best of all $1252.70 was raised for ALS.
On the way home I asked Trinity if she had fun and by her thumbs up, I know she did as did Julia and myself.
Happy 10th Birthday Caydence and and all of us at The Seeker congratulate you for being such a giving and thoughtful young lady who is already giving back to our community at such a young age!
