Cornwall, ON —The Cornwall Innovation Centre is pleased to announce that RBC has signed on as a Premier and Founding Sponsor.

“We have watched how RBC has committed to investing in innovation across the country” said John Rattray, Chair of the CIC. “We’re proud they are joining us as we move the innovation agenda forward in Cornwall and surrounding areas.”

“I am so impressed with the work the centre has done in such a short period of time.  The level of talent that we are attracting through the program is exceptional,” said Johanne Delves, VP of Commercial Banking for RBC. “I am proud of what we are doing at RBC to help our customers thrive and our communities prosper.  And supporting the Cornwall Innovation Centre is one way we can do that. ”

RBC is now the exclusive top-level sponsor in the Financial Services category. They have pledged $30,000 over three years and will offer expertise, consultation services and mentorship to the candidates of the CIC’s Lead To Win program. RBC will also sit on the board of the University Steering Committee, a group of local leaders dedicated to bringing post-secondary educational opportunities to Cornwall.

With this generous contribution from RBC, the CIC will continue to offer its venture-building services and develop the pipeline of talent that drives innovation and social progress. These services include assistance for deal-making, mentorship, fundraising support, launch and capacity development events, sales and training support, workshops and educational opportunities and workspace.

The partnership between RBC and the CIC was announced at the Centre’s InnoTalk event held at NAV CENTRE on November 21, 2017.
