After many years of the hard work put in by the Cornwall BMX Club’s members and volunteers, our track will be showcased this Saturday August 11th as we host our very first BMX Canada Provincial Qualifier Race.  We invite you to join us at noon (12:00 pm) to watch as over one hundred and fifty of Ontario’s best and fastest BMX racers compete for Provincial Championship Points and custom Cornwall BMX Club trophies.  The event will be completely free for spectators and there will be music, concessions, raffles, 50/50 draws and loads of great racing action!

Saturday’s race will be the highlight of our special Provincial Qualifier Weekend which kicks-off on Friday at 7:00 pm with our Bob Warnicke Scholarship Race where all of the proceeds collected are donated to a fund which provides grants to deserving BMX Canada members heading off to college or university. We then close out the weekend on Sunday at noon with our Race for Life where all proceeds and donated funds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. You are welcomed to attend or even participate in either of these charity events.

Our track is located off of the Floral Drive entrance to Guindon Park in Cornwall (see the map below) and signs will be posted directing people to the track.

During our intermission we will be acknowledging YOUR contribution to the successful completion of our project to provide a safe, fun, and exciting place for the youth (and young at heart) of our community to ride their bicycles.

You are welcome to invite as many additional guests as you’d like to come and check out Ontario’s newest and longest BMX Canada sanctioned racing track!  We also recommend that you bring lawn or camping chairs and sunscreen, as there are no bleachers to sit on and very little shade.

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday at noon and on behalf of all of the existing and future Cornwall BMX Club members, “THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!”
