Cornwall, Ontario – Tristan Poissant pounced on a loose puck in the Kemptville zone and scored with 3 seconds left in overtime to give the Cornwall Colts a 6-5 win on home ice Thursday night.

First Star Konnor MacCormick paced the Cornwall Colts offense with two goals and an assist including the tying goal midway through the 3rd period.

David Poirier and Dylan Massie each had a goal and an assist as the Cornwall Colts record improved to 1-5-0-0.   Henry Bishop also scored in his Cornwall Colts debut.

The Cornwall Colts outshot the 73’s 50-35 with Michael Carr earning the victory in goal.

The Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Player of the game was Jack Collins.

The Wendy’s Restaurant 3 Stars were First Star Konnor MacCormick (COR), Second Star John Beaton (KEM) and Third Star Tristan Poissant (COR).

The Cornwall Colts have a week off before their next game on Thursday, September 20th vs the Navan Grads.  The Colts will welcome Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cornwall and District to the game.  Game time is 7:30pm at the Ed Lumley Arena.
