Complementing your house to match this kind of setting and adding some vibrancy and mood around your home should be something that you may need to do to make your life more comfortable.

Getting started in cleaning a house that has an electric mix of fine appliances, wooden accents on cupboards and shelves in the library, and the ambiance of a modern designed kitchen can boost your mood, increase your happiness – and turn your house into an escape haven. This can be easily achieved with simple cleaning hacks and a mind that is willing to adopt a cleaner living space. So, let’s get started on the house cleaning tips that will change your life for the better.

Prep The Things That You’ll Need

Before you get excited about the cleaning idea, gather all the tools that you’ll need and ensure that they are in good shape because come to think about it, it’s going to be a tough ride! But don’t worry, Rome wasn’t built in a day. So, with time on your side and some quality cleaning tools, you’ll make it in one piece. Below are the tools you’ll need to get started. They include:

  • A vacuum cleaner will be ideal when used to avoid the spread of dust and if perhaps you have dust allergies, a quality vacuum cleaner will come in handy.
  • Spray bottles, squeegees, and white towels will be the best tools for cleaning windows and flat surfaces.
  • A mop, broom, and dustpan will help to make your cleaning and collection of debris much easier.
  • Scrub brush; for tough stains that won’t budge.

But even with the best cleaning tools, you may have a busy schedule that may not allow you to keep your house tidy and clean. This is where professional cleaning services come in. Even in your absence, they may help to ensure that your house is sparkling clean. However, before allowing just anyone to take care of your home, you must vet them first; if they have a website, even better. This will make it easier to read what the cleaning company specializes in, their rates, and whether they have special services. Most importantly, choose insured cleaning companies with years of experience in the field and a good reputation to back them up.

Sweeping and Dusting

For a squeaky clean house, start by gently sweeping the floor. Work from upstairs first and then proceed on to downstairs; that’s for storied houses. When dusting, work from top to bottom. Doing this before using water while cleaning will help to avoid stains and your cleaning cloths won’t get dirty from the cleaning task. Carefully dust shelves, window panes, kitchen cabinets, tables, and your lampstands. When done properly, this will leave your house dust-free, something that your HVAC’s air filter will appreciate. This will actually help improve your air conditioner’s efficiency and as a result, you’ll have improved your indoor air quality.

Wiping

Now, you want that orange morning sun to give you a good head start in the morning. But this can only happen with clear and clean windows. For this, mix water and vinegar in equal parts, a little bit of dishwashing soap can also be used for tough stains and clean wipes. Start with cleaning the outside and work your way to the inside. This way, it will be easier to notice any stains against the light. While at it, don’t forget the mirrors in your house.

For surfaces such as kitchen granite countertops and bathrooms tops, you can use disinfectants such as bleaches, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl), and hydrogen peroxide. Don’t use your squeegee sparingly, just let it do what it was meant to do.

Scrubbing

Certain parts of the house need a good scrubbing like the floor tiles, bathtubs, and handlebars. A used toothbrush with good bristles can be of great help in reaching corners and through hard to reach spaces. A good scrubbing is what your house needs for soft smooth surfaces that’ll bounce light around the house. Microfiber cleaning cloths will also come in handy when scrubbing.

Vacuuming and Mopping

You can finally give your house that final vacuum to get any remaining dust particles before mopping the house. Reach every nook and cranny, under the beds, couches, mats, and rugs. Give your house a good mop basically on the floors to have them so clean that they reflect the ceiling.

When you are done cleaning, arrange your house furniture and accessories to match the ambiance that a clean house creates. Don’t forget to pat yourself on the shoulder and to wear a smile for the good job you have done.
