With over 700 million active monthly users, Instagram has become a major player in social media and provides an opportunity to reach consumers with your brand message. The key to successful marketing on Instagram is knowing how to utilize all of the features like hashtags, stories, live videos, etcetera. But it wouldn’t be nothing if it wasn’t for the followers. The next way that you can maximize your reach on Instagram is unfortunately not free, however, it is quite cost effective. Instagram Promotions is a relatively new concept; however, it has become extremely popular over the time that it has been implemented. Promoted posts are extremely easy to use. All you have to do is select a post, which could be a video or a picture, select “Promote this post”, select the duration for the promotion, then the budget that you’d like to spend, and finally define your audience, or let Instagram do that for you.

The number of users that will see this post depends on your budget and the duration of the promotion. However, Instagram will show you an estimated amount of people that will see the post.


Influencers


The next way that you can increase your reach on Instagram would be through the use of influencers. Influencers are basically Instagram uses that have many followers, although there are different types of influencers; there are micro influencers, macro influencers, mega influencers, and so on.

The great thing about using influencers to increase your Instagram followers is that you will essentially be hijacking their audience. The first thing to keep in mind when choosing an influencer is that the influencer has to be in the same niche you are. Collaborate and Engage


The final tip for increasing your reach on Instagram, is to engage as much as possible. Many people forget that Instagram is a social media platform, which means that being social is of the utmost importance. When someone says you should engage on Instagram, that could mean many things. For instance, it could mean replying to comments on your posts. Or commenting on other users’ posts, directly messaging users after following them to let them know that you followed them in hopes that they will follow back, and more.

In addition to this, you should also try to collaborate with other users. This means that you will work with another user to create and post content that will be shared on both of your accounts, tagging each other. This is a great way to borrow from your collaborator’s audience.
