4 Tips to Choosing an Airport Parking Service in Toronto

Plenty of people who fly out of Toronto encounter a bit of a conundrum when it comes to finding a place to park their car.

There are a whole host of different providers out there, and knowing which is the right one for your needs isn’t always easy if you are a newcomer to this type of service.

To help you out, let’s go over the main things to look for, and things to avoid, when picking an airport parking service in Toronto.

Pricing is important

Comparing Toronto airport parking based on price is a natural instinct for most travelers, and yet there are a few points to consider before you take the plunge.

Your aim should be to get value for money, not just to go for the very cheapest option available, as otherwise you might be making sacrifices in terms of service quality that are unnecessary if your budget can stretch to a higher tier of provider.

Onward transport matters

Once you’ve parked your vehicle, you need to be able to make your way to the airport terminal with all of your luggage. For this purpose, plenty of parking services have shuttle buses to take customers the last mile, rather than forcing them to walk.

There are a few elements to consider here; for example, if your outward or return flights are scheduled for an off-peak time, such as late at night, you’ll want to check to see whether the provider’s transport solution will be running. If not, you’ll have to choose a competitor that does offer 24 hour pick-up and drop-off.

It’s also worth noting that rather than using buses, some providers have a valet service, which means that you’ll be driven to the terminal by an employee, who’ll then park your car up for you and deliver it back to you once you return. This is arguably more convenient, and is usually priced at a premium as a result.

Security is a priority

One thing which most car owners will agree with when parking at Toronto airport is that security has to be taken seriously. But again, this can mean different things for different people.

For example, you may want to be completely confident that your vehicle will not be open to exploitation by thieves, in which case picking a gated parking facility over one which has more basic protection will be wise.

On the other hand, you may be more interested in the extent of the protection that is provided from the elements, in which case a covered or even garaged setup will be more appealing.

Add-ons and perks may swing it

You might be surprised with the lengths that parking service providers in Toronto will go to in order to attract a certain type of customer. For example, did you know that certain brands will not only keep your car securely for as long as you need them to, but will even perform other services, including mechanical maintenance and cleaning?

If you like the idea of returning from your trip to find your vehicle in tip top condition, clean and shiny and good as new, then filtering your search for a service according to these parameters is a must.

With all of that in mind, you should now be ready to whittle down the extensive list of parking service providers to just one. One final thing worth saying is that you should aim to book with your provider of choice as soon as possible, as the closer you get to your departure date, the trickier it will be to secure a spot.
