One of the things that I enjoy about living out at our new house in the Martintown area is the feeling that, once I drive down that 500 foot tree covered driveway, I am on a permanent vacation surrounded by nature but every now and then I have to leave our Winter Wonderland (with all my new woodland friends) and do some OUT and ABOUTING.

So this past Saturday afternoon, (January 20th), I did just that to Seek Out the gems at the Valentine’s Pop Up Market that took place at the Cornwall Square in the Marketplace area downstairs from 10am to 3pm. Lots of new and exciting small businesses popping up and I love this new area where they can showcase themselves in a mini trade show atmosphere. If you want information about the Market Place area call the Mall Administration office at 613-938-2118 and talk to Laurie St. Pierre.

I have to say that I have noticed the Cornwall Square traffic picking up a lot each time I go there with the renovation of the Food Hall and the addition of many new stores and services. I’m looking forward to the addition of Urban Planet, Forever 21 and Urban Kids on the second floor where Sears used to be. Thank you to Weaving Baskets Group for bringing all this new energy to the Mall and making it a place where our community to come together!
