If you find yourself craving authentic food from a food truck, look no further than here to find some great ones in the SD&G area!
Note: not all of these are trucks per se, but they are all locations where you can walk up to a window and get delicious food.

Gaetan’s has been around for over 80 years, and has multiple locations across SD&G, which may just be a testament to how delicious their food is. Personally, I would recommend their fries and gravy, but they’ve got all the traditional food truck items, with a huge variety of poutine flavours.

Loose Caboose

Today we start our journey at what is admittedly more of a food train than a food truck, the legendary Loose Caboose. Locally owned and operated for decades upon decades, The Loose Caboose is one of Cornwall’s most iconic food trucks. From poutine to steamies to mozza sticks and all sorts of other “carnival foods,” The Loose Caboose has everything, all at one of the coolest looking locations in all of Eastern Ontario.

Séguin Patate

Staying in Cornwall, our next stop is the wonderfully iconic Séguin Patate. Specializing in all things potato since 1957, Séguin Patate offers a variety of fry sizes and specialty poutines from their traditional poutine to a delicious smoked meat poutine. They also have hot dogs, burgers, and a variety of delicious extras!

I Love Burgers

At the Maplewood Plaza sits our next stop, the first truly portable “food vehicle” on our list, I Love Burgers. Based on the name, you may be able to guess that this truck specializes in hamburgers, with many unique beef burgers like the spicy “Fire Burger.” Like many of the other stops, though, I Love Burgers also provides appetizers. They even have chicken wings with many sauce flavours. Yum!

The Fry Shack

Located on Pitt across from Maple’s Convenience, The Fry Shack is a brand new and delicious addition to the Cornwall food on wheels scene. With a variety of poutine flavours, burgers, fries, many types of hot dogs, and even extras like samosas, this new joint definitely has something for everyone to enjoy!

Bigfoot Burger

If you’re the type who can devour an absolute behemoth of a burger, then Bigfoot is the truck for you! Located in the parking lot outside of Cornwall’s Super 8, Bigfoot’s swiss mushroom melt, chili cheese dogs, and the signature Bigfoot burger itself are all huge portions but absolutely to die for.

Chef in a Bun

Off of Vincent Massey and Power Dam roads, Chef in a Bun provides a wide array of unique foods. From tens of poutine flavours made with St. Albert’s curds to burgers, frankfurters, and delightfully unique naan wraps, there are a bunch of tasty meals that you can only get at this legendary food truck.

Thum’s Kitchen

To remind us that some of the best food trucks are formed from the diverse flavours of the world, Thum’s Kitchen (which is now outside of Rob McIntosh in Lancaster) provides us with delicious stir fry and spring rolls. Though they’ve moved locations, Thum’s is still the same mouthwatering Thai cuisine that they’ve always been.

Fat Les’s Chip Stand

All across Eastern Ontario, Fat Les’s provides delicious poutines, burgers, and other foods to the lucky residents of towns who have one of their coveted chip stands. Well, now Cornwall will have this honour as Fat Les’s moves into our lovely town around the Eamer’s Corners neighbourhood!
