SIX ARRESTED, COCAINE SEIZED AS RESULT OF SEARCH WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – In the early morning hours of Feb. 20, 2026, the Cornwall Police Service (CPS), utilizing the Cornwall Emergency Response Team (CERT), executed a search warrant in the 200-block of Prince Arthur Street.
Six individuals were taken into custody, allegedly in possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, as well as property obtained by crime.
More than 100 grams of suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia and currency were seized.
- A 30-year-old woman from Newington, ON, was arrested and charged with fail to comply with release order, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and obstruct peace officer. It is also alleged on Feb. 20, 2026, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in her residence at all times. She failed to do so. It is further alleged she gave police a false name. The woman was held for a bail hearing.
- A 31-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with fail to comply with probation order, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. It is also alleged on Feb. 20, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. She was later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
- A 41-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine as well as possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The woman was later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
- A 45-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested and charged with fail to comply with probation order, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and fail to comply with appearance notice – court/fingerprinting. It is also alleged on Feb. 20, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on Dec. 11, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Feb. 20, 2026, the warrant was executed. The man was held for a bail hearing.
- A 52-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine as well as possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The woman was held for a bail hearing.
- A 52-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested and charged with the following with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine as well as possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The man was later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 20, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 3, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend court while on release order. On Feb. 20, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old woman from Alexandria, ON, was arrested on Feb. 20, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Dec. 19, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend for fingerprints – as per undertaking. On Feb. 20, 2026, the woman was located at the courthouse. The warrant was executed and she was returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, ESCAPE LAWFUL CUSTODY
Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 20, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and escape lawful custody. It is alleged on Feb. 20, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged the man escaped police custody. He was subsequently located by CPS officers, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 21, 2026, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Feb. 21, 2026, the man threatened to kill his ex-boyfriend and another individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by CPS officers. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 17, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 21, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 24, 2024, the man was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared. On Feb. 21, 2026, the man was located by police, who were dealing with an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on April 7, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – On Feb. 21, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to a Second Street East business, where the Loss Prevention Officer at the store had two individuals in custody for shoplifting. They were subsequently turned over to police.
A 43-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Feb. 21, 2026, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old woman from Akwesasne was arrested and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Feb. 21, 2026, the woman was bound a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended the Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items.
The individuals were charged accordingly and released to each appear in court on March 24, 2026.
FLIGHT FROM PEACE OFFICER, IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Lunenburg, ON, was arrested on Feb. 22, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Flight from peace officer
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
In the early morning hours of Feb. 22, 2026, a CPS officer was on general patrol in the City of Cornwall and observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the motor vehicle fled police. Additional units responded, and the man was subsequently located by police. Further investigation revealed he was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 12, 2026.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 22, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 29, 2026, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest. On Feb. 22, 2026, police responded to a shoplifting complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on April 7, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 55-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 22, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged between Oct. 16, 2025, and Nov. 18, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. He failed to do so, and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with probation order. On Feb. 22, 2026, police responded to a shoplift complaint at a Second Street East business, and an investigation ensued. The man was located and the warrant was executed. He was later released to appear in court on April 7, 2026.

Cornwall, ON – As a result of multiple investigations, a 14-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 23, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Three counts of failure to stop after accident
- Three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Two counts of dangerous operation
- Assault a peace officer with a weapon
- Two counts of assault a peace officer
- Resist peace officer
On Feb. 15, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to a stolen motor vehicle call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Feb. 15, 2026, the youth was observed to be in possession of a stolen motor vehicle. In the early morning hours of Feb. 16, 2026, the stolen car was involved in a single motor vehicle collision. It is further alleged the youth failed to remain at the scene of the accident. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
In the early morning hours of Feb. 23, 2026, CPS officers responded to a stolen motor vehicle complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Feb. 23, 2026, the youth was observed to be in possession of a stolen motor vehicle, driving in a dangerous manner and intentionally struck a CPS cruiser – constituting an assault on an officer. The youth then fled the scene of the accident. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. The officer did not sustain any physical injuries.
On Feb. 23, 2026, at approximately 7 a.m., the youth was observed to be in possession of the stolen motor vehicle. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
On Feb. 23, 2026, at approximately 9 a.m., the youth was allegedly driving the stolen motor vehicle in a dangerous manner and struck a school bus. He once again fled the scene of the accident. As a result of the investigation, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. The bus driver and all children aboard the school bus were not injured.
Later on Feb. 23, 2026, the youth was located by members of the CPS’ Criminal Investigation Division. While being apprehended, he allegedly resisted arrest. It is further alleged the youth assaulted one police officer and bit another. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Additionally, the youth faces two Highway Traffic Act charges for driving a motor vehicle without a license.
He was held for a bail hearing.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 23, 2026, and charged with theft of motor vehicle. On Feb. 23, 2026, a CPS officer was dispatched to a stolen motor vehicle complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth stole her mother’s motor vehicle. The youth was subsequently located by CPS officers, who conducted a traffic stop. She was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 23, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on March 20, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS on a monthly basis. It is further alleged the man failed to report to the CPS. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with release order. On Feb. 23, 2026, the man was taken into custody by an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 24, 2026, and charged with domestic assault. In the early morning hours of Feb. 24, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman assaulted her boyfriend. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was later released to appear in court on March 12, 2026.

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 24, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. On Feb. 19, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate directly or indirectly with his ex-girlfriend. It is further alleged the man was in communication with his ex-girlfriend. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On Feb. 24, 2026, the man was located by police at the courthouse. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
