That’s where Cornwall Transit comes in. Cornwall Transit will be offering aspiring superheroes and pop culture enthusiasts free rides to the Cornwall and Area Pop Event (CAPE) on Saturday, April 22nd and Sunday, April 23rd at the Benson Centre.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this service for our residents,” said Len Tapp, Division Manager, Cornwall Transit. “Cornwall Transit is proud to partner with successful community events such as CAPE.”

On Saturday, April 22nd, CAPE attendees can ride Cornwall Transit for free by simply presenting their CAPE admission ticket to the bus driver or telling the driver that they are going to the event. Better yet, dress the part and ride the bus in a costume!

On Sunday, April 23rd, Cornwall Transit will be offering a free limited shuttle to the Benson Centre.

An east route will be available starting at Walton Court at 9:02 am with stops along the way at St. Lawrence Intermediate School, Eastcourt Mall, Pitt and Second, and the Benson Centre. A west route will start at Brookdale Apartments beginning at 9:31 am making stops at Cornwall Plaza (Brookdale and Tollgate), 15th St. and Cumberland, 14th St. and Pitt, Pitt and Second, and the Benson Centre.

The returning schedule will have three trips beginning at 4:15 pm, 5 pm, and 5:45 pm (see attached schedule for full details).

“CAPE wants to make it as easy as possible for people to attend our event and this partnership with Cornwall Transit will help us achieve that,” said Carol Sauve, CAPE organizer.

About the Cornwall and Area Pop Event  CAPE is an annual ComicCon and pop culture type of event featuring celebrity guests, exhibitors, artists, and special displays. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 22 from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday, April 23 from 10 am to 5 pm at the Benson Centre. The 2016 edition of CAPE attracted over 5,800 attendees.
