Orkin Canada Presents an Exhibit to Raise Awareness of the Large Role of Tiny Creatures
(May 22, 2017 – Cornwall) – The Incredible World of Bugs, a traveling exhibit presented by Orkin Canada, is ready to entertain, engage and enlighten the young to the young-at-heart about the strange and fascinating world of butterflies and insects.
Visit the Cornwall Square, Thursday May 25 from 9.30am-9pm, Friday May 26 from 9.30am-9pm or Saturday May 27 from 9.30am-5.30pm to learn more about those little critters.
“The goal of the exhibit is to raise public awareness of the large role these tiny creatures play in our daily lives,” said exhibit creator and manager, John G. Powers. “They pollinate our crops and supply us with honey, silk, medicine, along with so many other benefits.”
The traveling road show includes interesting facts and a close-up look at rare beetles, giant spiders and brilliant butterflies. It also provides the opportunity to learn about the current challenges impacting the ecosystems which these creatures exist within, which in turn, affect our lives.
Each year, Orkin Canada supports approximately 20 Incredible World of Bugs exhibits. With more awareness, governments, educators, researchers and the general public will hopefully rally to address issues that threaten the stability of the butterfly and insect ecosystems in Canada.
John G. Powers will be available on site during exhibit hours for an interview and/or photo opportunity.
