Cornwall Ontario — You are invited to attend Cornwall Community Hospital’s public viewing and tour of the new west wing. Visitors will be able to tour through both levels of the 95,000 square foot addition with key rooms and equipment highlighted along the way. Registration is not required.

Enter by the new set of traffic lights at 840 McConnell Avenue and park in the north lot. Hospital organizers will be waiting at the new north Emergency entrance to guide you into the building. Please be advised that no food or drinks will be permitted inside.

“This is our chance to show off the hospital in a way that people have never seen before,” said Alan Greig, Vice President of Support Services. “It’s not every day the public gets to see our leading-edge technology and experience everything we have to offer on a voluntary basis, without being a patient.”

“The open house offers an opportunity to open our doors and show the community what a spectacle the design of the new building is. A great deal of organization and preparation went into the addition and now it’s time for everyone to enjoy the payoff of all their hard work,” said Kathy Bisson, Director, Logistics and Equipment Planning.

A commemorative magazine with information about the wing, and a map of the tour route will be provided to all who attend upon arriving at the new main entrance. Visitors are asked to keep moving at a steady pace to give everyone an opportunity to view all the departments. Staff members will be strategically placed at the major areas in the wing to inform guests what services will be provided in each room.

“The build has been a community project since 2009, and we are proud to deliver on our promise of providing an exceptional healthcare facility to the people of Cornwall and S.D. & G.,” added Jeanette Despatie, Chief Executive Officer.
