Cornwall Community PoliceCAUSE A DISTURBANCE & BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- Karen Papineau, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on April 11th, 2013. She was bound by two Probation Orders and an Undertaking with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that in April 11th, 2013 she was causing a disturbance by yelling. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Cause a Disturbance, Breach of Probation Order and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. She was released to appear in court on May 9th, 2013.

SEXUAL ASSAULT & BREACH

Cornwall, ON- A 52-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 11th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that during September 2012, he inappropriately touched a 50-year-old female acquaintance. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Sexual Assault and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on May 9th, 2013. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this matter.

IMPAIRED OPERATION

Cornwall, ON- Richard Lapointe, 57 of St. Andrews West was arrested on April 11th, 2013. It is alleged that shortly after 11:15 am on April 11th, 2013, he was found operating a motor vehicle in a parking lot off Amelia Street while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Impaired Operation and transported for further testing which resulted in an additional charge of Over 80. He was released to appear in court on April 23rd, 2013.

OVER 80

Cornwall, ON- Landon Thompson, 24 of Akwesasne was arrested on April 12th, 2013. It is alleged that shortly before 8:30 pm on April 12th, 2013 while operating a motor vehicle, he attended the Canadian Cornwall port of entry border while under the influence of alcohol. He was detained by a Canadian Border Service Agency officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. He was transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over 80. He was released to appear in court on April 25th, 2013.

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY & BREACH

Cornwall, ON- Tylar Jarvis, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on April 11th, 2013. He was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to not to be away from residence except as follow for school attendance (give surety schedule) and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on April 11th, 2013 he was found in possession of stolen property and away from his residence without surety. He was charged with Possession of Stolen Property and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred between April 10th and 11th, 2013 at a Cotton Mill business. The suspect(s) gained entry and removed numerous tools and a snow blower. If you have any information regarding this break & enter, please contact the Service at 613-932-2110 or Crime Stoppers at 613-937-8477.

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 12th, 2013. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of follow routine and discipline of the home and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that the youth had left her residence on April 9th, 2013 without permission. The youth was located and charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. The youth was released to an adult to appear in court on May 2nd, 2013. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON- Shawna Chartrand, 20 of Vaufreuil, Quebec was arrested on April 12th, 2013 under the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on February 4th, 2013 she failed to attend court and her surety was revoked. Two warrants were sought. She was held in custody until court the following day.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON- Aiden Sullivan, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on April 13th, 2013. It is alleged that on April 6th, 2013 he attended several locations and caused damage to property by spray painting. He was located by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. He was charged with 5 counts of Mischief under $5000 and released to appear in court on May 7th, 2013.

FAIL TO ATTEND & BREACH

Cornwall, ON- Brianna Elderidge, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on April 13th, 2013. She was bound by an Undertaking with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on April 12th, 2013 she failed to attend for fingerprints. She turned herself in to police and was charged with Fail to Attend for Fingerprints and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. She was released to appear in court on May 21st, 2013.

OBSTRUCT POLICE & BREACH

Cornwall, ON- Dustin Carter, 18 of Cornwall was arrested shortly after 3:30 am on April 14th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abide by a curfew by being in your place of residence between the hours of 10 pm and 6am. It is alleged that at 3:30 am on April 14th, 2013 he was found to be away from his residence by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. Upon investigation, he provided a false name to police. He was charged with Obstruct Police and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on May 13th, 2013.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON- A 50-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 14th, 2013. It is alleged that on April 14th, 2013 while in a vehicle he got into an altercation with his 35-year-old wife when he assaulted her on two separate occasions. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Domestic Assault and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this matter.

Cornwall, ON- A 44-year-old and a 45-year-old female were arrested on April 14th, 2013. It is alleged that on April 14th, 2013 they got into an altercation when they assaulted each other. Neither females required medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. They were both charged with Domestic Assault and released to appear in court on April 15th, 2013. The names were not released as it would identify the victim.
