Rachel’s Kids has generously offered Big Brothers Big Sisters bursaries for eligible Littles who are attending college or university this fall.

Rachel’s Kids, founded by local dentist Rachel Navaneelan, is supported through community contributions and both individual and corporate donations. Rachel’s Kids helps children in need, both locally and globally, through education initiatives, such as awarding scholarships and building schools.

To qualify, a candidate must be a current ‘Little’ of Big Brothers Big Sisters and attending a post-secondary institution in September of 2013. Interested candidates are asked to submit the following to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall and District:

1. A copy of the student’s high school transcript.

2. A letter of acceptance from the college or university the student is expected to attend.

3. A letter from the Little stating why they feel they deserve (or need) the bursary.

The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2013.

A BIG thank you to Dr. Navaneelan and Rachel’s Kids for supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall and District and best of luck to all our Littles who are heading off to school this fall!
