This exciting partnership between the Upper Canada District School Board, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, Conseils des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario, Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l’Est ontarien and St. Lawrence College continues to grow with more than 240 students showcasing the skills and talents applied in experiential education at the secondary level.

The focus of the competition is to provide a public forum that highlights the skills and knowledge students have gained in their particular field of interest. The annual competition is an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate their talent and creativity putting all of their skills to the test against peers and the current industry standards. Students are given specific tasks to perform, or scenarios to complete, within a predetermined time frame that will be judged by industry specialists.

This year, competitors in the Aviation event will get to compete in a flight simulator thanks to Cornwall Aviation (Cornwall Regional Airport). The remainder of the events will occur at St. Lawrence College’s Cornwall campus, located at 2 St. Lawrence Drive (formerly Belmont St.).

Competition winners will have the opportunity to advance to the Regional competition held at St. Lawrence College’s Kingston campus on April 20, as well as the Provincial competition in Kitchener-Waterloo in May.
