Cornwall Ontario — The Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) is proud to mark the 26th edition of World No Tobacco Day by launching its Quit Smoking mobile application.
The application, designed to help smokers who will attempt to quit smoking within the next month, facilitates the transition from smoker to non-smoker by providing tips and guidance on how to get started.
The application features the EOHU’s Quit Smoking Complete Resource Guide, which outlines a smoker’s top three reasons to quit, the date they will quit, the physical effects of quitting tobacco use, as well as relaxation techniques to help them get through urges. There are also videos that highlight what smokers may experience during their first ten days as non-smokers.
To access the Quit Smoking mobile application, visit www.eohu.ca and click on the Mobile Web Apps button on the homepage.
