Seaway District High School teacher struck by Lighting during outdoor gym activity

A school teacher is recovering after being struck by lightning.

Iroquois Ontario – A teacher at Seaway District High School is in the hospital recovering after reportedly being struck by lightning on Wednesday May 15th.

The incident took place outside during a physical education activity. This incident happened around 12:20pm when a storm quickly hit the region.

Paramedics were called immediately, and the teacher, who is conscious, is under observation at Winchester Hospital.

The Tragic Events Response team will be available tomorrow (Thursday May 16th) at Seaway District High School to support students and staff.
