With the assistance of the Eastern Ontario Training Board, the Township will be working to update its current Economic Development Strategic Plan by the fall of 2013.

As part of the planning process, a series of community consultations will take place, which will provide South Stormont residents with an opportunity to provide feedback and input into the updated plan.

“This is a very important document, as it will guide our economic development efforts, including sustaining a strong economic base for our businesses.” said Mayor Bryan McGillis. “I encourage South Stormont residents to participate in the consultation process.”

Community consultation sessions will be lead by an external consultant and will take place on:

  • Wednesday June 5th; 6:30 – 8:30 pm

  • Tuesday June 11th; 6:30 – 8:30 pm

  • Wednesday June 19th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm

The community consultation sessions will be held in the South Stormont Community Hall, located at 2 Mille Roches Road, Long Sault, ON.
