The World of Outlaws Late Models invades Cornwall Motor Speedway this Sunday!!

Cornwall Racing SpeedwayCornwall, Ont – Tuesday, June 18th 2013 – Martin Bélanger – One of the biggest events of the season is already here as the spectacular World of Outlaws Late Model Series will make a stop to Cornwall next Sunday on Mel Valade Backhoe Services night with a 50-lap feature event along with the Modified, Sportsman and Semi-Pro.

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is anxious to return at Cornwall as last year`s event was cancelled as rain started to fall as hauler made their way in the pits. Several well known names will compete in the 50-lap finale. Current point`s leader in the series Josh Richards has had success on the quarter mile bullring winning twice in the past. Richards will be joined by a group that includes former series champion Darrell Lanigan, Rick Eckert and popular driver Tim McCreadie.

 

Sitting second in the standing, Shane Clanton along with teammate and former regular at Cornwall, Tim Fuller will want to gain points on Richards. Rookie contenders Eric Wells and Morgan Bagley will be joined by veteran racers such as Chub Frank, Bub McCool and Clint Smith.

 

Joining series regulars, several competitors from New-York and Pennsylvania will gather with Brighton and Humberstone speedway located in western Ontario will complete this competitive field of Late Models.

 

Along with the Late Models, the Jiffy Auto Service Modified will be on hand with a regular 30-lap feature, with a National holiday in Quebec during the weekend; this might attract a few extra competitors from that province. Stephane Lafrance will want to continue his success being the lone winner so far in the division.

 

A 20-lap feature is also on the schedule for the Tracy Wheeler Storm Realty Sportsman division, several drivers will be on hand, on opening night a stellar field of 36 cars showed up in the pits. The Evans Bus Lines Semi-Pro will also be in action with a 15-lap feature race.

 

Pit gates will open at 2:30pm and will cost $50 to get in the pit area. Main gate will open at 3pm for fans that already purchased their tickets and will open at 3:30pm for all other people, general admission prices will be 40$ for adults, Seniors 65 and up, will be $25, children 18 years and under, will be $10. Time trials are scheduled to start at 6:30pm with the first heat race at 7:00pm.
