Alyssa BlaisI got to thinking how lucky I am to be living in such a wonderful place known as Cornwall and what makes this city so great. As a result, I put together a list of the 99 things I LOVE about Cornwall. Enjoy!
1. big city living, small town feel
2. low cost parking meters: where else can you pay a $1.00 and get 60minutes of parking?
3. St Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences
4. the Apples and Arts Studio Tour
5. the City is well maintained
6. the eclectic group of visual artists
7. Cornwall’s Triathalon in August
8. parking and traffic are not a big deal
9. I can walk anywhere in the downtown area in less than 30 minutes
10. 15 minutes away to a camping site
11. lots of green space, fresh air and close to water
12. easy access to politicians: where else can I sit and chat with the MP, MPP and the Mayor at one table? Impressive.
13. Cornwall’s Multisport Club
14. adore how welcoming and hospitable the city is
15. love that I can walk into City Hall and speak to whoever I need to speak to
16. the hamburgers at Papa Joes
17. Benson Centre
18. community gardens on Race Street
19. Rotary Eco Gardens – peaceful and serene
20. Cornwall’s Public Library – one of my fav places!
