RIVIERE-DU-LOUP – Francis Trudel scored in overtime to lift Rivière-du-Loup to a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over Cornwall in LNAH action on Friday night.
Yves Sarault, Anthony Pittarelli and Pat Kavanagh, with his first as a River King, scored for Cornwall, which led 3-1 mid-way through the second period.
Marc-Oliver D’Amour’s second marker of the night with 8:46 to play in regulation sent the game to OT. Jean-Sébastien Bérubé also scored for Rivière-du-Loup.
Once again, Loic Lacasse was outstanding in goal for Cornwall (1-0-1). Lacasse made 33 saves and was named the game’s third star.
