Cornwall Ontario — The melodies of guitars are off set by the scratching of skates inside the Civic Complex, children enjoy the sweet sticky maple taffy outside, and families are laughing and playing on snowhills and skating on the out door rink. These are just some of the many sights, sounds, and smells at this year’s Winterfest Carnaval.

Saturday evening ended with a bang, as the night landscape in Lamoureux Park was adorned and lit up by the crackling of majestic fireworks much to the pleasure and delight of families, seniors, and children of all ages.
