Doggie Styles Day Spa

Cornwall Ontario — Two businesses and a common passion has resulted in uniting two entrepreneurs. Kayla Dewar and Susan Dalmer recently discovered that they share the same gentle love and respect for pets, and that they also share the same business ethics.

These common beliefs and goals have prompted this dynamic duo to co-locate their businesses – Doggie Styles Day Spa and Dogz and Katz Coiffure.

“Both Susan and I work to ensure that pets in our care are comfortable and safe,” said Ms. Dewar.  “We want to ensure the mental and physical well-being of every pet we come into contact with, all while providing courteous service.”

Ms. Dalmer is new to Cornwall having recently moved her business here which was formerly located at the Trenton Pet Hospital.  She is a member of the Ontario Groomers Association and the National Cat Groomers Institute of America, as well as holding a Certificate of Dog Grooming and Canine Care from Conestoga College.

“Our new location will offer a pleasant environment for our pet clients and convenient access for our pet parents,” Ms. Dalmer said.  “We are right in the centre of town with free parking right beside the building.  For our pet parents who have difficulty transporting their pets to the Salon, we also offer a pick and up and drop off service for just $10.”

Ms. Dewar and Ms. Dalmer began working together just a few months ago and recently agreed that a new location and new look was needed.  They have just completed renovations to their new location on the corner of Pitt and Fifth Streets and are very excited to be opening.  Both are pet owners themselves and appreciate that different personalities exist, requiring various handling for their well-being.  It is with this in mind that Doggie Styles Day Spa and Dogz and Katz Coiffure have established their new location.  Skilled workmanship, a positive environment, continuous salon sanitation practices and friendly, courteous service is what pet and parent clientele can expect at all times.

“Partnering is an excellent way for entrepreneurs to firmly establish and build their businesses,” said Candy Pollard of the Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre.  “We are very pleased to see Ms. Dewar and Ms. Dalmer working together and we look forward to watching their businesses grow.”

Doggie Styles Day Spa and Dogz & Katz Coiffure is the only retail outlet for a product called “Pet Odor Exterminator”.  This product can be purchased as a jar candle, mini spray or spray that attacks and removes pet and household odors.  The candles are a unique blend of soy and paraffin wax that leave a light refreshing fragrance behind.
