River KingsCORNWALL – Since purchasing the River Kings a few short weeks ago, owner Brock Frost has repeatedly sought ways of enhancing the experience and overall interaction that the River Kings fans have with the club.

With this vision in mind, Frost is proud to announce that the Cornwall River Kings will be forming a fan’s Booster Club.

“Hockey teams at all levels of play support the presence of a booster club all with a similar goal of bringing the team and the community closer together,” said Frost. “The Booster Club will help organize and create community events, BBQs, charity auctions, interactive games with the fans, operation of the River Kings Kids Club and anything and everything in between,” he said.

The Booster Club will be registered with the Province of Ontario and will be operated by a 15-member executive board consisting of the owner, the general manager, a player and 12 members of the community, which will be elected at large. Frost encourages all members of the community, and hockey fans alike, to put their name forward for a position on the board.

The first Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 10 a.m. at the Civic Complex, where the group as a whole will elect the team’s first executive board.

If interested in serving on the board, please email Mike Crowder at mikecrowder@live.com no later than July 9.
