On Sunday afternoon in Trois-Rivieres, Cornwall fell 6-2 to the Blizzard Cloutier Nord-Sud. Stephane Boileau and Nicolas Dumoulin led the Trois-Rivieres’ attack with two goals apiece.

Anthony Mezzagno had a two-goal performance for the River Kings. Loic Lacasse took the loss in goal for Cornwall, who was outshot 47-39.

The River Kings powerplay struggled on the afternoon, going 1-for-11.

It was the third consecutive loss for Cornwall (1-3), who was defeated 10-4 by Laval on Friday in its home opener at the Civic Complex.

The River Kings will look to get back into the win column next weekend with a pair of road contests. Cornwall visits Thetford-Mines on Friday, Oct. 17 and the following night they travel to St-Georges.

The River Kings next home game is Saturday, Oct. 25 when Jonquiere pays a visit to the Ed Lumley Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
