Cornwall Ontario — The Social Development Council of Cornwall and Area’s and the Seaway Valley Community Health Centre are excited to announce a mayoral candidates debate on the topic of Health and Wellness in Cornwall on the evening of October 9th , 2014 from 6-8pm at Seaway Valley Community Health Centre at 353 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON, K6J 3R1.
As part of the Provincial Health and Wellness week, the debate will focus on the candidate’s points of view about the growing concern surrounding health and wellness in Cornwall and explore the programs and solutions they intend to implement should they be given the opportunity. The Social Development Council of Cornwall and area and the Seaway Valley Community Health Centre believe all community members have the right to know our potential leaders position on important issues like health and wellness. It is our hope that this debate will bridge the information gap between our leaders and community members.
The moderator of the debate will ask the candidates to answer several questions about Health and Wellness in our community and how the intend to improve these situations.
All community members are invited and encouraged to attend this event; there is no prior registration required. There will be an opportunity for audience members to ask the candidates questions. If you would like to ask those questions, we would like you to e-mail us with your question ahead of time. With the election taking place on October 27th 2014 , we intend for this debate to be a resource to help inform voters in our community.
