Long Sault Ontario — There will be an all candidates debate for South Stormont on Tuesday October 7th at the Long Sault Marina restaurant. The debate, organized by South Stormont News starts at 7pm.
The Township of South Stormont, like the rest of the province, goes to the polls on October 27th, 2014 to elect a new Municipal Council. There are two candidates for Mayor, three candidates for Deputy Mayor, and ten candidates for Councillor.
Running for Mayor are Jim Bancroft and Bryan McGillis. Running for Deputy Mayor are Ray Beauregard, Tammy A. Hart, and Cindy Woods.
Running for Councillor are Chris Cameron, Reginald Coffey, Rick Currier, Earle Depass, Donna Primeau, Mark Prendergast, Mike Proulx, David Smith, Jason Swerdfeger, and Waldoff Richard.
For School Trustees – Karen E. McAllister and Dunne J. Michael are running for the Catholic District Board of Eastern Ontario. Art
Buckland, William Fielding, Wendy MacPherson, and Bradly Nuttley are running for the Upper Canada District School Board.
Polls are open on October 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Advance polls run October 8th to the 21st, 2014.
