Cornwall Ontario — Cornwall River Kings owner Brock Frost is looking for an individual to assist in the operational structure of the local LNAH team.
“I receive hundreds of complaints each day,” said Frost. “I believe it’s in the best interest of the team that I hire someone to assist me with the day-to-day operations of the hockey club.”
Frost, a full-time local realtor who owns and operates a rental property business, was also recently elected to Cornwall City Council.
“If I can delegate the majority of my off-ice responsibilities to the new Director, I will then have more time to focus on bringing a winning team back to Cornwall,” said Frost.
The new position, titled Director of Hockey Operations, will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Dealing with the City of Cornwall
2. Insurance
3. Sponsorship
4. Promotions and Advertising
5. Ticket Sales
6. Merchandise Sales
7. Scheduling
8. Payroll
9. Community Involvement
10. Security
11. Game-day operations
These tasks are currently handled entirely by Frost. The responsibilities of the General and Assistant Manager will remain the same, being primarily handling of the on-ice product, players, travel and league administration.
“Most people have no idea how much work it takes to run this type of organization,” said Frost. “Hopefully, the new Director will help give the fans what they want to see.”
If interested in the position, please send your Resume and cover letter to ro**************@gm***.com. Interviews will take place beginning the week of November 10th.
