Julien Corriveau and Derek Famulare had the shootout goals for Cornwall, which won back-to-back games this weekend.

The River Kings trailed 2-1 after 40 minutes but Andre Sandrzyk tied the game up for Cornwall with five minutes to play in the third period.

Rookie defenceman Mathieu Leduc scored a powerplay goal for the River Kings in the first. Marc-Olivier Phaneuf picked up an assist on the goal, giving him points in each of his first two games as a River King.

Pete Karvouniaris was sensational in goal, turning aside 41-of-43 shots in regulation and overtime. Karvouniaris stopped Jeremy Vigneault-Belanger in the shootout to end the game.

The River Kings, who have won three of their last four LNAH contests, have a pair of home games next weekend: Saturday, Jan. 3 vs. Thetford-Mines (7:30 p.m.) and Sunday, Jan. 4 vs. Jonquiere (2 p.m.)
